RJ's BIO";

| RJ is an emerging singer-songwriter and producer from the California Central Valley. His flavor of piano-oriented pop/rock carries influences from today's modern rock and 80's Top-40. His debut CD features tunes penned by Sharp, many co-written with lyricist Lewis Greer of Do Good Music, an artist development group in Palo Alto where he studied to sharpen his writing skills. RJ first began writing to express the pains and pleasures of adolescence, teaching himself piano in the process. He soon joined a rock band with some close friends, tackling the more difficult hits of the 80's. Two summers after high school, he turned his musical interests to the Contemporary Christian scene and joined local CCM group Speed of Sound as a synth-bass player, who opened for the expressive Bash 'N The Code on occasion. RJ arranged and produced most of the CD's material, with creative contributions from Nashville native Michael Everett and award-winning LA producer Chris Julian. Lyrically, it's mainly about letting go of past hurts and misplaced hopes, seeking personal growth in the process. |
